If you have a 3- or 4-year-old and are looking for free preschool, Preschool Promisis could be a great option for your family. It’s a high-quality, free preschool program for families who meet income guidelines (some exemptions available) – and even if you’re not sure you qualify, reach out to us as we can connect you to a range of early learning options and programs.

Baby Promise: Building More Opportunities for Our Littlest Learners

We’re working hard to bring Baby Promise to more families in our region. This program offers free, high-quality childcare for babies and toddlers up to age 3. If you have an infant or toddler, we can connect you to other local supportive resources and opportunities while we continue to expand Baby Promise in our community.

Oregon Prenatal to Kindergarten (OPK): Comprehensive Support

OPK is a fantastic program offering free, high-quality early education and family support for kids from birth to age 5. It provides everything from early learning to health and nutrition support for families with limited incomes. Some of the programs in our region that offer OPK are Mid Columbia Childrens Council, and Oregon Child Development Coalition

Early Head Start & Head Start: Local Programs for Early Learning

Head Start is a national, early-education program that prepares children for school, by building social and cognitive competence, as well as school-readiness skills. The program provides high-quality early education for kids from birth to age 5. These programs also support your family with services like health screenings, nutrition assistance, and parent education.

The Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) program helps families pay for childcare while parents are working. While we don’t handle ERDC enrollment or support, we can point you in the right direction.
